成大醫院移植外科

79年9月完成首例活體腎臟移植， 80年3月完成首例屍腎移植以來，迄今共完成超過500例的腎臟移植手術，門診追蹤之移植患者400餘人。在腎臟移植手術深厚的基礎之下，於90年3月成功完成雲嘉南地區首例肝臟移植後，90年6月成功進行首例肺臟移植，嘉惠更多雲嘉南的病患，94年12月又完成首例心臟移植，使本院成為多重器官移植中心。95年2月也順利完成南部首例血型不相容腎移植，目前也是財團法人器官捐贈移植登錄中心 (OPO) 規劃的專責醫院。
本科積極推動腦死器官捐贈觀念，並著重於社會人文教育。代表本院器捐薪傳生命的『大愛不死』ㄧ文，編入國小翰林出版社國小六年級上學期國語課本--第五課，提供全國在學學子得以學習器捐薪傳生命的感人故事，為疾病末期患者得以獲得新生的契機。本院移植團隊推動器官捐贈與做法更榮獲生策會2006年國家品質標章之榮耀。
